Rebecca Newman

Rebecca began her study of yoga as a way to free her body and remain grounded throughout the busy years of college. Yoga quickly became a meditative and transformative practice that allowed her to connect her mind and body and move through life’s obstacles with positivity, strength, and inner peace. As a classical singer, the practice of yoga became incredibly connected to her musical performance, both mentally and physically.

Rebecca has spent many years working at Neighborhood Music School with creative and inspiring children. Throughout her time teaching and learning with students, Rebecca has realized that nothing is more fun and fulfilling than bringing children together to discover their strength, wisdom, and silliness.

Rebecca recently graduated from college with a Bachelor of Music and plans to earn a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy. She is enthusiastic about bringing her two passions for working with children and yoga together!
